Evelyn Lip - Design and Feng Shui: Logos, Trademarks and Signboards
Rating

This book is singular and important. Although it was written in '95, there is no other book (that I know of) exploring this territory. Dr. Lip is an architect as well as a feng shui consultant. She has taught architecture, graphics, and design since 1967. She knows what she's talking about.

I am frequently asked about feng shui and website design. This is the book I direct people to. One of the basic things Dr. Lip teaches is that the words must be easy to read. I recently read about a web site that had been designed with the assistance of a feng shui consultant. The company's CEO paid a pretty penny for feng shui advice, and ended up with red pages. "Some people may say it's hard to read, but it has lots of energy." Hello…!! I suggest they redesign using this book.

Her information on combining the elements within a log is thorough and excellent. She shows logos which combine elements auspiciously and inauspiciously. There's nothing like actually seeing it.

Many people know that fat (bold) letters say "abundance." Dr. Lip explains other considerations as well. The book is excellent, and a bargain at the price.
