Rating

Most of these herbs are exotic in every sense of the word. Quite a few are tropical or subtropical, and growing instructions are included and will be appreciated. There are excellent color photographs for all sixty herbs. Not only does this book acquaint you with herbs you may never have heard of, it explains how to cook with them. Quite useful. Some herbs are common, such as basil, fennel, sage, and thyme, but the varieties she describes may be unknown to you, such as conehead thyme.
