Sarah Bartlett is writing feng shui books like nobody else. This is the only book I know of devoted solely to feng shui and guests. It is thorough -- using an entrance-based bagua (page 17) and is also deeply concerned with your animal sign and element. She knows her subject well -- from individual foods and their yin/yangness to gemstones. She explains why hosts and guests (especially VIPs) should sit in certain seats. Formal and informal dinners and parties are covered. There is a welcome section on corporate entertaining (offices and conference rooms) which even includes instructions on where to sit when eating in a restaurant. Nice to have such a common event addressed by a knowledgeable feng shui authority. When discussing shapes of dining tables, she favors the circle, with the octagon favored as another good shape. I agree completely.
Even if you don't entertain a lot, I advise folks to look through this book. It's full of valuable feng shui lessons.
