Thomas Pakenham - Meetings With Remarkable Trees
Rating
Rating

This book is similar to Ancient Trees but it only covers trees of the British Isles (native and non-native.) The magnificent full-page color photographs are complemented by well-chosen historical etchings. The photographs were taken by the author and the writing style reflects this personal connection with each tree. There are about sixty trees in this book, and a map at end indicating which ones are publicly accessible. The trees are a treasure, and the book is a treasure.
