Feng Shui Consultations and COVID-19

Three fabric face masks
I’m not taking any chances. Masks are still an important part of my in-person interactions.

Recently, I was scheduled to consult at a bed & breakfast. I wore a mask when I arrived, and at the door my client said, “You don’t need one of those here.” I said, “I’m just a few days away from getting my booster, so I’m not taking any chances.” (It’s not uncommon for a “breakout” case, that happens just before getting a booster, to be fatal.) My client screwed up her face and spit out the word, “Booster! For your information no one here is vaccinated.” (There were two other people in the room with her.) I silently turned and walked away. When I was about halfway down the stairs she asked, “What does this mean?” I replied with the exact words that I’d spoken before—and I heard her tell the other people, “He’s leaving because we’re not vaccinated.” I got in my car and drove away, and I’m quite sure I won’t be back there again. (I’m not interested in helping Russian dupes, which is how I think of anti-vaxers.)

I’ve now gotten my booster and I had no side effects (like just about everyone) except the usual sore arm. I alternate between left and right arms when getting these vaccinations.

I have another upcoming on-site consultation and that client already offered to show me her certificate without me even asking to see it. That’s the way to do it!
